Battery Point Lighthouse is located in my hometown of Crescent City, CA.  Growing up I spent countless hours on this beach poking around in the tide pools and looking for agates and seaglass. At low tide you can walk to the lighthouse and tour the museum.  At high tide, the lightkeeper is homebound.  I still miss the foggy days with the sound of the foghorn in the distance.
